IRON MAIDEN

 
Iron Maiden was first formed in London in 1976 by Steve Harris (bass), who later joined Tony Parsons (guitar), Doug Sampson (drums) and Paul Di'Anno (Vocal). Before getting a contract with record companies, they appear from stage to stage in the city of London and earn revenue from each performance. Parsons was replaced by Dennis Stratton, they released their first debut album that took the title as their band name 'Iron Maiden' in 1980. Although completion of their album was somewhat hasty, but their songs like 'Running Free' to become hits in the UK at that time. On their next album 'Killers', released in 1981, they present the changes in terms of musicality which tend to be harder than the previous albums, the album was re-composition changes seen with the replacement Stratton formation by Adrian Smith.

Because the habit of alcohol consumption could not be controlled anymore, Di'Anno was fired and eventually replaced by Bruce Dickinson in 1982 as the release of The Number of the Beast. Some songs in this album, like 'The Number of the Beast' and 'Hallowed be Thy Name' became known as one of the best rock recordings of all time. Since the success of this album, Iron Maiden began to be known by the world, in their next album 'Piece of Mind' was a lot of changes they bring. They undergo two major tours before you start recording the album 'Powerslave' in 1983, which later became hits are cherished by his fans. In 1985 they released a double live album 'Live After Death' which was taken as Powerslave tour.

With the release of the album 'Live After Death', they also established himself as a unique metal band and powerful. On their next album, 'Somewhere in Time', seen them start using Synthesizer in the production process, and their themes in terms of the themes raised are more relevant. Released in 1988, the album 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son' became the album's most acclaimed and criticized since Number of the Beast. After completing a grueling tour, the guitarist Smith out of the band, they underwent personnel vacancies for one year. With new guitarist Janick Gers, they re-produce the album, this time recording entitled 'No Prayer For The Dying' in 1990. This album them back using sound as their early recordings. One of the singles on the album 'Bring Your Daughter ... to the Slaughter' was awarded the Golden Raspberry Award for worst song of the year, although this band became the band's number one in England. After completing the tour in 1991, Dickinson convey his desire to quit and promote another band he'd form the Skunkworks. Fear of the Dark became the band's last album with the vocalist Dickinson. This album became one of Iron Maiden albums that received the largest sales. After tour promotion, they released 2 live album in 1993, 'A Real Live One' and 'A Real Dead One'.

Together with Blaze Bayley, replacement Dickinson, Iron Maiden released the album 'The X Factor' in 1995. But unfortunately this album was not as successful as its predecessor albums. At the end of 1996 they released a double compilation album 'Best of The Beast'. In 1999 Dickinson and Smith returned to the band, and they began producing and recording an album titled 'Brave New World'. In 2000 they held a series of tours that are documented into a live album 'Rock in Rio', they also released the album 'Edward The Great' in 2002 followed by the album 'Dance of Death' in 2003. Then they released a DVD DVDs History of Iron Maiden, Pt 1: The Early Days and Raising Hell 'in 2004. Their albums are the next 'Death on The Road' (2005) and 'Matter of Life and Death' (2006).
